DUU FIRST-YEAR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The Duke University Union (DUU) First-Year Internship Program allows freshmen to gain unparalleled exposure and involvement as a part of the Duke University Union, the largest programming body at Duke and one of Duke’s largest student organizations. DUU Interns work alongside fellow interns and some of DUU’s senior leaders to plan and execute their own large-scale event for the entire campus. Additionally, First-Year Interns gain exposure to DUU’s 15 diverse committees by joining at least one committee as a full member.
The First-Year Internship Program will also contain a mentorship component in which interns are matched with a member of DUU’s executive board who will serve as their mentor over the course of the program (and hopefully beyond!).
If you have a strong interest in programming and events, want to learn more about our incredible organization, or simply want to meet more people and gain valuable teamwork experience, we encourage you to apply for our program.
Applications for the First-Year Internship Program have closed and the class for the 2013-2014 academic year has been selected, but if you have any questions or are interested in learning more about the program, please feel free to contact Nikki Jenkins.
