In a world where there is no right or wrong, in which there is always the chance that we have made or might make the incorrect choice, in which we have to live with these realizations, how should we decide on the choices we make? This question is intelligently addressed and masterfully depicted in the morally complicated film made by two-time Oscar winner Asghar Farhadi. A Separation is the story of a couple who decide to divorce each other because each spouse chooses a different right option. However, it is unclear under whose custody the daughter should be placed. This film does not take sides and does not ask us to identify with either party. The audience – just like their daughter – must decide for themselves who they believe made the better choice, and whose side they are going to take. Come to the screening of A Separation to witness one of the best illustrations of the weight of making the right choice in the morally and emotionally ambiguous world of ordinary people. No registration required. Please show up 15 before the screening begins.
