Figure Drawings
Visual Arts Committee holds instructor-led workshops that offer a safe and inclusive environment for students to practice drawing the human form from live (nude) models. The instructor will guide students through timed sketching sessions, ranging from short poses to longer poses. Artists can practice capturing gestural movements, correct proportions, and accurate anatomy. All artists are arranged in a circle around the model, enabling varied, unique perspectives.
Both tutored and open studio workshops occur biweekly on Mondays in Smith Warehouse, Bay 12, Room A200, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., allowing students to experience instructor-guidance and personal practice. From expert drawers to those who are unsure what “figure drawing” even is, everyone is welcome! All materials will always be provided for you.
